LIVE List: Class suspensions for July 28

MANILA, Philippines (First Published July 27, 7:40 p.m.) — Some local government units on Thursday announced the suspension of classes in some areas for Friday, July 28, due to to bad weather that Severe Tropical Storm “Gorio” may cause. On Thursday evening, Gorio had intensified into a severe tropical storm. As it moves northwestward, Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 has been raised in Batanes. Gorio will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon which brings moderate to occasionally heavy rains over the western section of Luzon, including Metro Manila.
